Dimensions

Pacquiao is 5’6 ½” and has a reach of 67?. Margarito is 5’11? and has a reach of 73?. A big advantage goes to Margarito here, but Pac Man has never let that be an issue before. According to their contracts, neither boxer can be more than 151 pounds at the weigh-in on the day before the fight. That is a concession to Pacquiao, 31, who began fighting professionally in the 108-pound division, and will be trying for a title in his 8th weight class. Margarito, 32, has been fighting at 147 pounds and up since 1996.

Intangibles

Cuts: Manny is more prone to facial cuts and bruises than Margo.

Momentum: Pac Man gets the big nod. He is on a great streak of big wins (Clottey, Cotto, Hatton, De La Hoya, Diaz, Marquez, Barrera, Solis, Morales, and Larios). Margo is coming off of a long and forced lay off with his last win a UD over Roberto Garcia in Aguascalientes, Mexico on May 5, 2010.

In a strange way, he just might be the “cleanest” fighter in the world on November 13.

Home Advantage: There could be as many as 70,000 fans in attendance with most screaming “Mexico, Mexico.” This can only help inspire the Tijuana Tornado who enjoys fighting in front of HIS fans.

Focus: In May 2010, Pac Man was officially proclaimed Congressman of the province of Sarangani (most provinces in the Philippines are politically volatile). These responsibilities can only have a negative impact on his ring work, for it’s difficult to imagine how he can focus in a training camp while attending to the demands of political office.

Mosley Beating: My theory on this one has always been that part of the beating was due to what had occurred in the dressing room before the fight. That may well have done serious damage to Margo’s mental state — being caught and all — and may have set him up for a big beat down; taking nothing away from Mosley’s rocking right hand shots. The point here is that it is easy to underestimate how dangerous Margarito can still be, though some say Margo will seek an appropriate time to go down — and then run off into the sunset with his big payday. To that I say “hogwash.” I just don’t see that happening in front of 70,000 fans.

Outcome

Speed will be the critical variable in this fight. And Manny has the speed (and skills to go with it).But before he prevails with a 10th or 11th round stoppage, he will be rocked several times by a stalking Margo using his heavy hands. Around the 7th or 8th, I see a facially bruised and puffed up Manny finally asserting himself but not nearly as easily as he did with Cotto.

He should begin to go into his signature cruise control late in the 8th canto, positioning a game but confused Margarito for the kill with cumulative in-and-out hooks and shots from different angles. The end will come with a super fast flurry that will snap The Tornado’s neck back mandating the referee to halt the action late in the fight.

Pacquiao will know he was in a real fight this time, enough so that this could well be his swan song. Heck, being a Congressman in the Philippines has to be easier than this.

He is an actor, singer, a guitarist, an elected Congressman and Oh yes, seven Division world champion.  Not bad for a child to sell the cigarette's on the streets of General Santos for a living.  Pacquiao has nothing at the top of the world from the and he did it through hard work and dedication.  Now, he above, there a few people out there that want to knock him off.  Pacquiao is the King of the Hill, and until someone can strengthen and knock him he will remain King of the Hill.

The road to the top was not easy.  Manny had square against Mexico's toughest Warrior, IE Morales, Barrera, Marquez and Mexican American Oscar de la Hoya.  Instead of praising his his critics find negativity and write about it.  Writes that de la Hoya fighters a shot instead of Manny praise for solid defeated him was.She writes that Manny keeps steroids used instead of him for his hard work in the gym to loben.Pacquiao only on roles.

We sit here today hot approaching the last week of September. Just around the corner is October so what this means to fight fans? Nothing but silence and a whole lot of nothing. Don't me wrong, there are some battles for October planned, but nothing really stands out. Well actually there is a hot date in October that I really want to see. This date is October 16th when Vitali Klitschko for Shannon Briggs, live from the O2 world running arena in Germany.

As good as I think, Klitschko, I have always felt that Briggs has the ability to shock the world. The key is air conditioning and mental health also on an all time high. Except this battle nothing in October really grabs my attention. In this day and age, we have to too many developers and top fighters for this go.Other than my sons birthday party October where we are going be to Disneyland for free throughout the month I lang.Also, is pretty much if you a party a late in the night cricket match dinner, a card game, heck anything you want to use who invite me for, feel free to invite me, I'm all sell.

Now November come, is a completely different story. In the first week of November we have JuanMa vs. Rafa, Judah vs. Matthysse, Guerrero vs. Escobedo.Then next week we have the loaded Pacquiao vs Margarito map, Haye vs. Harrison, followed by Danny green vs. BJ Flores.Dritten week in November that we have explosive rematch between Sergio Martínez and Paul Williams, we have also a loaded map brought to you by none other than André Rozier, it will feature Chin Checker Curtis Stevens, will Rosinsky, the complete package, which is Sadam Ali, and the future problem that Shemuel pagan. Manny Pacquiao Set For Training in Baguio City

Popular Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao is set to reconnect with his old and new sparring partners next week in Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines.
Pacquiao is about to embark on a two-month no-nonsense training in preparation for his fight with Antonio Margarito for the vacant WBC junior middleweight championship of the world on November 13 at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's long-time trainer is expected to plane in over the weekend along with Pacquiao sparring partners Vanes Martirosyan, Rashad Holloway and Glen Tapia.
Julio Cesar Chavez is reportedly joining the group a week or two later.
Rashad Holloway used to spar with Manny Pacquiao sometime in 2008 when the pound-for-pound king was preparing for his fight with Oscar de la Hoya. Holloway is a 29 year old welterweight with only one loss in his professional career.
Another popular boxer who will spar with the Pacquiao in Baguio City is Vanes Martirosyan, Pacquiao's colleague at the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach. Martirosyan who is an American of Armenian descent is undefeated in his professional career.The 24-year old boxer fought 28 times without a single loss.
The youngest among Pacquiao's sparring partners is 20 years old Glen Tapia of New Jersey who has sparred with some of the popular boxers in the welterweight division including Paulie Malignaggi, Yuri Foreman and Joshua Clottey. Tapia has won seven times in his professional career without a single loss.
Julio Cesar Chavez who was schedule to face Miguel Cotto on December 4 may join Pacquiao and his sparring mates later in the training camp. His scheduled fight with Cotto has reportedly been canceled as Cotto decided to face Kermit Cintron instead in Atlantic City on the same date.
Mb.com.ph reports:Early this week, Pacquiao showed up for two straight days at the Elorde Gym on Del Monte Ave. in Quezon City.
Pacquiao looked trim and fast and furious during his short workout under Buboy Fernandez and said he might use the Elorde Gym until next week before going to Baguio, site of his camp during the runup to the Miguel Cotto bout at around the same time last year.
The Filipino boxer was originally scheduled to go up to the mountain city of Baguio to formally start his training for his upcoming fight with Margarito on Monday. However, the schedule was postponed for later this week obviously to honor previous commitments by the congressman-boxer.
Pacquiao's conditioning coach Alex Ariza said Pacquiao will still have enough time to reach fighting form even if he decide to finally postpone his trip to Baguio.
“Manny already knows his body well enough unlike before when we were still starting out,” said Ariza, who has been supervising Pacquiao’s conditioning and nutrition since mid-2008.

Manny Pacquiao Foe Antonio Margarito Denied License To Fight In California

Boxer Antonio Margarito has been tapped to fight world pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao on November 13. Pacquiao has set his sights at a record eighth world title in as many weight classes. Pacquiao and Margarito are scheduled to fight for the vacant WBC super welterweight crown. With the fighters and a date marked for the bout, a venue is yet to be finalized because of Margarito’s revoked license to fight in the U.S.

In Margarito’s bout against Shane Mosley on February 11, 2009, it was discovered that he had illegal material in his hand wraps. Mosley eventually won that fight while Margarito was suspended for a year by the California State Athletic Commission, his license revoked.

Now that negotiations for a mega-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fell through, Top Rank promoter and Team Pacquiao are looking at Margarito as Pacquiao’s next opponent. The other option was to fight Miguel Cotto for a shot at the Cotto’s new WBA super welterweight belt but Pacquiao picked Margarito instead, hoping that it would be a more challenging fight.

It seems that the most difficult part in making a Pacquiao-Margarito fight a reality is finding a state and venue that will reinstate Margarito’s boxing license.

The states of Nevada and California are out of the picture. Margarito and his lawyer are now eyeing Texas as their next possible stop for a boxing license.

And Freddie Roach doesn't see the Filipino boxing superstar losing the 12-round fight for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) junior middleweight title against a sluggish, slow-footed opponent.

"Manny will start fast with this guy, and we will finish with him fast," said Roach.

Ever since invading the welterweight rank, Pacquiao has bewildered just about anybody he met in the ring, from the great Oscar De La Hoya to the ordinary Joshua Clottey.

"I couldn't handle his speed," said former two-time world champion Miguel Cotto after suffering a brutal 12th round technical knockout against Pacquiao, a sentiment he shared with the rest of the Filipino's ring victims.

Roach sees Margarito joining that list.

"He (Margarito) is a big, strong guy. I'm not overly worried about him. I'm not a big Margarito fan. Manny will have too much for him," said the Hall of Fame trainer.

Margarito's size – the Mexican stands 5-foot-11 – and the weight where the bout will be fought are the only concerns Roach is thinking about.
